Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC) has released Advertisement No. 1 of Year 2026 for the recruitment of Government Primary School Teachers (Group ‘C’) under the Directorate of Education. A total of 390 vacancies are available for Marathi Medium (352 Posts) and Konkani Medium (38 Posts). đ Qualification & Age Limit
1. Educational Qualification (Essential):
- â Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Pass) with at least 50% marks AND 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- â OR 12th Pass with 45% marks and D.El.Ed in accordance with NCTE Regulations, 2002.
- â OR 12th Pass with 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- â OR Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) with a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education.
- â AND Passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) recognized by Govt of Goa.
- â AND Knowledge of Konkani. (Knowledge of Marathi is desirable).
2. Age Limit (As on 20.02.2026):
- đš Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Yrs), OBC (3 Yrs), PwBD (10 Yrs), Govt Servants (5 Yrs).

Selection will be through a Two-Tier Computer Based Test (CBT):
- đĨī¸ CBT-I (Screening): 60 Marks | 75 Minutes.
âĸ English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, Konkani, Marathi (as applicable). - đĨī¸ CBT-II (Final Merit): 80 Marks | 100 Minutes.
âĸ English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, Marathi/Konkani Grammar (40 Marks), Methodology/Pedagogy (10 Marks). - đŠâđĢ Class Demonstration: 10 Marks.
Minimum Passing Marks: Unreserved (45%), OBC/PwD (40%), SC/ST (35%).
