Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), a unit of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) (A Govt. of India Enterprise, Ministry of Defence), Avadi, Chennai, has released a notification (Advt No. HVF/RG/FTB/RECT/JTC/2026/01) for the engagement of personnel on a Fixed Tenure Contract basis. Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for 220 vacancies of Junior Technician (Contract) in trades like Machinist, Rigger, Heat Treatment Operator, and others. The tenure is initially for 01 year, extendable up to 04 years based on performance. 🎓 Educational Qualification & Experience

• 🛠️ Machinist: NAC / NTC in Machinist Trade.

• 🏗️ Operator Material Handling Equipment:
  • NAC/NTC/STC in Crane Operations OR
  • Class X Pass + HMV Driving License + 2 Years Experience in handling Crane Operations.
• ⛓️ Rigger:
  • NAC/NTC/STC in Rigger OR
  • Class X Pass + 2 Years Experience in loading and unloading.
• 🔥 Heat Treatment Operator: NAC/NTC/STC in Forger and Heat Treater.
• ⚡ Fitter Auto Electric: NAC/NTC/STC in Auto Electrician.
• 🌪️ Sand & Shot Blaster: Class X or equivalent + Minimum 2 Years Experience in Shot Blasting in an industry.

*NTC: National Trade Certificate | NAC: National Apprenticeship Certificate | STC: State Trade Certificate

🎂 Age Limit (As on Closing Date)

Maximum Age: 35 Years (for UR Candidates)

Relaxation Upper Age Limit:

• SC / ST: + 5 Years
• OBC (NCL): + 3 Years
• PwBD: + 10 Years
• Ex-Apprentice Trainees: Relaxed to the extent of training period + Category relaxation.

⚔️ Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on Shortlisting followed by a Trade Test (Practical). Shortlisting preference order:

1. First Preference: HVF Ex-Trade Apprentices.
2. Second Preference: Erstwhile OFB Ex-Trade Apprentices.
3. Third Preference: Other NTC / NAC holders.
4. For Non-NAC/NTC posts: Based on Experience years (if experience same, then 10th marks).

⚠️ Note: Trade Test is Qualifying in Nature (FIT/UNFIT).

💸 Application Fees

• 🔸 UR / OBC / EWS: ₹ 300/-
• 🔸 SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-SM / Female: Exempted (No Fee)
• Payment Mode: Online via SBI Collect -> PSU -> Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd -> HVF Recruitment Fees.
