📋 Role of a Para Legal Volunteer (PLV)

PLVs are not full-time employees and do not receive a salary. Their primary role is to serve as intermediaries, bridging the gap between the public and legal services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in organizing Legal Awareness Programmes and Legal Services Camps.
  • Conducting home visits to victims to provide support.
  • Assisting Under Trial Prisoners.
  • Work related to the implementation of various NALSA (National Legal Services Authority) Schemes.
  • Candidates must specify their preference to work at the district level or village level.
