Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has officially released the detailed notification (Advt No. J.C.E.C.E.B./01/26 – 08) for the Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2026. This state-level entrance exam is the gateway for admission into B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education), M.Ed. (Master of Education), B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education), and M.P.Ed. (Master of Physical Education) courses for the academic session 2026-2028.

Candidates aspiring to become teachers in Government and Private Colleges across Jharkhand can apply online starting from 25th February 2026. The board has announced that 85% of seats are reserved for candidates who have graduated from Universities within Jharkhand, while the remaining 15% seats are open for all. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held offline (OMR Based) on 26th April 2026 at various district headquarters including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, and Bokaro. 📅 Important Dates Schedule

1. For B.Ed Course

• General/Unreserved Candidates: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Science / Social Science / Humanities / Commerce with at least 50% marks.
  OR
  Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
• Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD): Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with at least 45% marks.
  OR
  Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 50% marks.
• Subject Selection: The candidate shall have to choose only one subject (within a subject category) which she/he must have studied in the qualifying degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) for at least 200 marks and obtained at least 50% in this subject. This subject will be referred to as the Teaching Subject.

2. For M.Ed Course

• Candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
  (1) B.Ed.
  (2) B.A. B.Ed.
  (3) B.Sc. B.Ed.
  (4) B.El.Ed.
  (5) D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each).

ℹ️ Important Notes

• ✅ There is NO restriction in the passing year to apply for B.Ed/M.Ed/B.P.Ed courses.
• ✅ Final Year Students: Students in the final year of Bachelor/Master programme are eligible to apply. However, their candidature is subject to the submission of the final result/mark sheet at the time of admission/counseling.

📊 Reservation Policy

As per the Higher and Technical Education Department letter no. 2/V1-104/2017-267 dated 03.02.2026:

• 85% of total seats are reserved for candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from Universities located within Jharkhand State.
• 15% of total seats are open for all candidates (Open Merit).
• Reservation categories include SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II, and EWS as per Jharkhand Government norms. Caste certificates must be uploaded in the prescribed format.

Note: Candidates from outside Jharkhand (Reserved Category) will be treated as General Category. Fee is Non-Refundable. Payment via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

3. Register by entering your Name, Email, Mobile Number, and Password.
4. Login with your credentials and fill in the Personal and Educational details carefully.
5. Upload the scanned Photograph, Signature, Thumb Impression, and all required certificates in PDF format.
6. Pay the application fee online via Payment Gateway.
7. Submit the form and take a printout of the Confirmation Page for future reference.
