Puducherry Institute of Linguistics and Culture (PILC), an autonomous research institute funded by the Government of Puducherry, has released an official notification (No. A-12/51/2025) for the recruitment of Assistant Professors on a regular basis. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification (As on 13.03.2026)
- 🎓 Master’s Degree: Minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian/Foreign University.
- 📜 NET/SLET/SET: Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or SLET/SET.
- 👨🎓 Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree (awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
- ✨ Desirable: Teaching experience, Inter-disciplinary research, knowledge of South Indian language, Computer handling exposure.
- Note: 5% Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
Age Limit
- 🔹 Maximum Age: Not exceeding 35 Years.
- 🔹 Relaxation: OBC – 3 Years | Govt Servants – Up to 40 Years (43 for OBC).
- Age is calculated as on the closing date (13.03.2026).
⚖️ Selection Process
The selection will be based on the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Based on Academic Score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3B) of UGC Regulation 2018.
- Interview: Final selection based strictly on performance in the Interview.
