🎓 Eligibility Qualification
To be eligible for the Walk-in-Interview, candidates must fulfill the following uniform criterion across all departments:
- ✅ Post Graduation (Master’s Degree) in the subject concerned.
- ✅ Must possess the required Specialization in the respective field (as detailed in the table above).
- ✅ Must have qualified NET examination OR must be holding a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline.
💰 Remuneration & Duties
Selected Guest Faculty members will be compensated generously based on their academic contributions:
- 💸 Pay Per Lecture: ₹ 1,500/- per lecture.
- 📈 Maximum Limit: Subject to a maximum of ₹ 50,000/- per month.
- 🏛️ Class Load: He or she may be assigned more than 25 classes per month.
- 📋 Responsibilities: Apart from teaching, the faculty will be responsible for paper setting and evaluation of answer scripts as part of their duties.
📜 Terms, Conditions & Walk-in Procedure
Before heading to the venue, please read these critical instructions published by the Registrar, Sikkim University:
- Interview Venue: The interview will be held strictly at Barad Sadan Hall, 5th Mile, P.O. Tadong, Gangtok.
- Documents to Carry: All candidates MUST bring their complete CVs / bio-data along with the filled application form in the prescribed format on the date of the interview.
- Application Fee: An application fee of Rs. 200/- will have to be paid on the day of the interview.
- TA/DA Rule: No TA/DA (Travelling/Dearness Allowance) shall be admissible to the candidates for attending the interview or upon joining the University if selected.
- Accommodation: Selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation. The University will not be able to provide free accommodation as earlier.
- University Rights: The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of Guest Faculty in a department or totally reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.
- Absentia: The University may also appoint Guest Faculty members in absentia or by invitation under special circumstances.
