The University of Hyderabad (UoH), an Institution of Eminence, has released Employment Notification No. UH/Rectt./Teaching/2026–01 inviting applications from eligible Indian Citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) for 40 Faculty Positions. This is a Special Recruitment Drive – VI exclusively for filling up Backlog Reserved Vacancies for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates.
Vacancies are available for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor across various schools like Sciences, Humanities, Economics, and Social Sciences. 📜 Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications
Qualifications are as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Clause 4.0.0) / AICTE / NCTE norms.
1️⃣ Professor (Academic Level-14)
- ✅ Qualification: Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- ✅ Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in university/college or research experience.
- ✅ Publications: Minimum 10 research publications in UGC-CARE/Scopus/WoS listed journals.
- ✅ Research Score: Total research score of 120.
- ✅ Guidance: Evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
2️⃣ Associate Professor (Academic Level-13A)
- ✅ Qualification: Ph.D. Degree + Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
- ✅ Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience of teaching and/or research.
- ✅ Publications: Minimum 7 research publications in UGC-CARE/Scopus listed journals.
- ✅ Research Score: Total research score of 75.
3️⃣ Assistant Professor (Academic Level-10)
- ✅ Qualification: Master’s Degree with 55% marks in relevant subject from an Indian/Foreign University.
- ✅ Exam: Must have cleared NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by UGC/CSIR or SLET/SET.
- ✅ Exemption: Ph.D. degree holders (awarded as per UGC regulations 2009/2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Note: A relaxation of 5% is provided at Graduate and Master’s level for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC categories.
